This vintage loudspeaker system from Tannoy was capable of delivering 750 watt, had 1000 watts peak input, 125dB plus peak output, and was designed for large studio control rooms. A dual concentric drive was used. It combined an HF compression driver, and a direct radiating bass unit coaxially in a common unit.
This monitor system was largely used by Vangelis at Nemo Studios during the 1980`s. Each monitor was equipped with dedicated Tannoy cones for high-, middle- and low-frequency ranges, and each range was powered by a dedicated amplifier, using three BWG 750-watt amplifiers.
